"On trash day, I found a rocking chair full of memories but obviously beyond its useful life. I dismantled the chair and recreated it in its current form. Like a sort of palimpsest, its historical record of construction and wear have been overwritten by John Deere® and Home Depot®."

This piece of functional sculpture was exhibited in the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts faculty and technical assistant show in 2005 and is now in the collection of the school's Assistant Director and Administrative Assistant.
